Peanut butter, apple and granola wraps make for a perfect quick breakfast or light gluten free snack. You’ve got the crunch from the granola, the fruity apple crispiness and the creamy peanut butter to blend it all together. Lightly grill them for that extra burst of flavors.

Once again During my daily time wasting activities you’ll naturally find me glued to the computer screen drooling over delicious food recipes.

Sometimes these recipes literally inspire me to the point where I jump out of my chair and need to cook something asap. It’s completely irrelevant to me what time of day it is or if everyone has just had their fill of lunch/dinner/etc.

I just have to make whatever it is that I saw.

That was the case with these peanut butter, apple and granola snack wraps. I saw them on pinterest and checked out the recipe on the Food website.

I always think of tortillas for savory sandwich type meals or Mexican themed burritos but why not try something different and put a sweet snack spin on things?

Super easy to make with only a few ingredients yet perfect for a gluten free treat. Or just skip the yogurt and eggs and start your day with these. I’ll leave it up to you.

Drizzle these with nutella (thinned out with a bit of water) if you’re feeling particularly bold.

Ingredients

  • 1 tortilla (use corn tortillas for gluten free version)
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1/2 apple, thinly sliced
  • handful granola (use gluten free granola for gluten free version)
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • a few dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Spread peanut butter in the center of the tortilla and top with apple slices and granola.
  2. Wrap up like a burrito.
  3. Heat oil over medium heat in a pan and lightly cook snack wrap on each side until browned.
  4. Optional: Melt dark chocolate chips and drizzle over the wraps
