10 sophisticated ceviche gluten free recipes to impress your guests with
We’re switching things up a bit here. Instead of the usual Friday Foodie Faves where I share my 10 favorite recipe finds from fellow food bloggers, now I’m switched over to themed posts.
With the beginning of fall now is the time to get into fall themed recipes. The past couple weeks I shared 10 Gluten Free Pumpkin Desserts, 10 Fall Apple Desserts, 10 Fall Sweet Potato Recipes, 10 Cauliflower Recipes, and this week the theme is ceviche gluten free recipes!
Ceviche is a fish dish popular in Central and South America that is traditionally made with raw fish, which ends up being cured in citrus – lime juice. This dish is normally mixed with onions, salt, cilantro and can be served alongside sweet potato, lettuce, corn, avocado, etc. Naturally the freshest fish available is a necessity.
Ceviche is a perfect dish for hot summer days because no cooking is required. If you live nearby the coast or a seafood market make sure to get the freshest seafood available and get mixing. I have only made ceviche myself once, though I have made tuna tartar (similar process) dozens of times.
Suddenly this week I had an urge to make more ceviche this summer, so here we’ve got a round up of 10 recipes from fellow food bloggers around the web with various traditional and not so traditional ceviche gluten free recipes! Who knew it’d be so easy to make so many variations of ceviche gluten free and dairy free?
10 Ceviche Gluten Free Recipes
Ceviche de Lenguado {Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free}
Peruvian ceviche made with a splash of coconut milk using red snapper, squid, red onions, limes and garlic salt. Love the addition of the creamy coconut milk.

Ceviche made with jumbo lump crabmeat mixed with the usual red onion and lime, but this time made also with tomato, jalapeno, and cilantro.YUM!
Simple Ceviche {Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free}
This recipe might be simple but nothing short of delicious made with firm white fish, limes, red onion, avocado, and cilantro. Everything is better with avocado so I know this will be yummy.
Ceviche de Lenguado {Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free}
Loving that this ceviche also incorporates a full ripe mango. Love the idea of adding in a bit of sweetness into the mix.
Ahi Tuna Ceviche {Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free}
Ceviche made with ahi tuna. I’ve made Asian themed tuna tartar dozens of times but would love to switch things up and make ceviche with tuna next time instead.
Chile Basil Coconut Ceviche {Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free}
A ceviche made with sea bass both lime and orange juice as well as coconut milk. Mixed up with mango or cantaloupe — woah would love to try this with the cantaloupe and intrigued by the addition of orange juice.
Mojito Cuban Ceviche {Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free }
Love that this recipe builds in the standard mojito ingredients as well – rum,club soda, mint, sugar. Definitely need to make this!
Scallop Ceviche with Rocoto Chile Peppers {Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free}
Very interested in this scallop (instead of fish) ceviche. Other interesting ingredients in this recipe include rocoto chile pepper (that one will require some research), corn and sweet potatoes.
Salmon and Prawn Ceviche with nuac cham and fresh basil oil {Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free}
I love that this ceviche combines both salmon and prawns with cucumber, red onion and cilantro, as well as a Thai based marinade made with lime juice, sugar, water, fish sauce and a thai chili. YUM!
Finnish Vodka Ceviche {Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free}
Peru meets Finland in this European take on ceviche made with salmon, vodka, lime zest, juniper berries and dill. This dish is served with a blueberry, vodka, elderberry vinegar salsa for what I imagine is an exquisite meal.
