Pineapple soda is the ultimate refreshing refined sugar free soda alternative. Enjoy this naturally sweetened fruit filled healthy beverage! Gluten Free and Vegan.
If you know anything about me you know I love my seltzer water. And I mean love love love my seltzer water. Some people crave sugar, or chocolate or soda, but the one thing that I consistently crave is seltzer water.
If I just got back from a workout, a hot day, a long day at work, pretty much any occasion – I crave seltzer. There’s just something about it. It’s crisp. So fresh. So sharp. Nothing can quite compare to that first carbonated sip of ice cold seltzer water. Now while it might seem simple and consistent enough I can’t say that all seltzer waters are alike. It might be a matter of personal preference, but there are some definite winners in my book.
One of those brands is Vintage Seltzer. Vintage seltzer is made with only natural flavors, no artificial flavors, no added colors or dyes, fat free food, no high fructose corn syrup, no sugar or sugar-free, no FDC & color, calorie free, very low sodium–in some instances sodium free. Only two ingredients in Vintage seltzer – carbonated water and natural flavors (essence, extract or oil from the actual fruit that is listed on the label). Basically there’s no reason to drink soda every again when you can have seltzer water with all the carbonation and none of the added sugar and chemicals.
Win win if you ask me.
So to liven up regular seltzer water, if that’s not enough I wanted to make a super refreshing and light drink. With no refined sugar added at all this pineapple soda is made with a handful of key ingredients – pineapple, lime, mint and ice. Blend all of that together and served topped off with Vintage Seltzer.
This right here is the ultimate refreshing pineapple soda. Light and crisp with just a hint of sweet sweet pineapple, contrasting a tart lime aftertaste. Who needs soda when you can make your own at home with seltzer water and a mix of fresh fruits and herbs. A blender is all you need to make your own fruit drink concoctions at home.
I happily shared this pineapple soda with both my mom and aunt who are currently visiting me in Costa Rica. Luckily pineapples are plentiful here – being sold for a dollar a piece so it’s safe to say I’m going to be drinking a whole lot more of these in the coming days.
In case you’ve ever wondered there also is a clear difference between seltzer water and sparkling water. Seltzer has more of that fizzy bubble and sparkling water has a bit more flavor and less bubble.
I highly recommend you get yourself to a grocery store stat and stock up on bottles and cans of Vintage Seltzer (which can be found in the soft drink aisle of the store). I love to buy the cans so I can have super carbonated water each time, but if you’re servings lots of these pineapple soda grab a 2L bottle instead!
