A super cheesy, fragrant and flavorful basil hemp seed pesto pesto that is completely vegan and gluten free! Made with Basil, walnuts, garlic, lemon juice, hemp seeds, nutritional yeast and olive oil. Perfect with just about everything.

  • 3 cups packed basil
  • 1/2 cup walnuts
  • 1/2-3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons hemp seeds
  • 4 tablespoons nutritional yeast
  • 3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  1. To a food processor add basil, walnuts, salt, garlic, lemon juice, and hemp seeds. Process on high while slowing pouring the olive oil through the feed chute.
  2. Scrape down the sides of the bowls during the process.
  3. Add nutritional yeast and blend for another few seconds.
