  1. Prepare pasta according to package directions.

  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add thinly sliced chicken sausage to the pan and cook for 6-8 minutes until browned on both sides.

  3. Add minced garlic and sun dried tomatoes to the pan. Mix and cook for 2-3 minutes.

  4. Add chickpeas to the pan, mix and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste.

  5. Drain pasta once cooked, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water. Add pasta to the pan and mix. Add pesto to the pan and mix. Add reserved pasta water if needed to thin out the pesto sauce.

  6. Serve sprinkled with nutritional yeast.
