I love sandwiches. Only on special occasion though. Which I classify as either, when I’m on vacation (with friends or family) or when I’m hungover. On those two instances I need sandwiches in my life.
Day to day I can go without them, but there’s no group girl trip that can go without a large, hearty, wholesome, delicious, fresh and crisp sandwich.
And since I don’t eat sandwiches on the reg when I do, it must be a good one. No sad looking cold cuts squashed between two pieces on cold toast for me. Uh-uh. That will simply never do.

There are a five product flavors to choose from, from slow roasted turkey breast, to roast beef, ham and chicken breast. I opted for the classic turkey. Can’t go wrong with a turkey sandwich. Am I right?
For the additional toppings, the avocado was a no brainer – I mean how would a sandwich be a proper sandwich without a generous layer of soft smashed avo, right?
And I’m currently obsessed with alfalfa sprouts – I mean they just are bursting with life and crunch and freshness like nothing else out there.
Arugula has a bit of that sharp kick that is nicely contrasted against the soft avocado and fresh alfalfa.
I needed one final touch though, another contrasting flavor. Spicy aioli? You bet ‘ya. Mayo + Sriracha + lime juice and voila home made spicy aioli ready for the bread.
You could serve the assembled sandwich cold, but that’s no fun right?
Get out that frying pan, add a spoonful of oil and let’s get that bread nice and crusty and warm too.

- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Sriracha
- splash of lime juice
- 2 ounces Oscar Mayer Selects Natural Slow Roasted Turkey Breast
- handful arugula,
- handful alfalfa
- 1/4 - 1/2 avocado, sliced
- 2 pieces gluten free bread, toasted
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- In a small bowl combine mayonnaise, sriracha and lime juice. Mix until smooth.
- Spread aioli mixture on two slices of bread evenly.
- Top each slice of bread with avocado and mash it into the bread.
- Top one slice with turkey, arugula and alfalfa. Top with remaining bread.
- Heat olive oil in pan over medium heat and pan sear the sandwich on both sides until browned.
