I personally love this week’s gluten free veggie burger recipe theme. I was never a huge fan of beefy burgers (outside of those few Happy Meal obsessed years during childhood) so when I decided to stop eating beef I never really missed burgers.
We’re switching things up a bit here. Instead of the usual Friday Foodie Faves where I share my 10 favorite recipe finds from fellow food bloggers, now I’m switched over to themed posts.
With the beginning of fall now is the time to get into fall themed recipes. The past couple weeks I shared 10 Gluten Free Pumpkin Desserts, 10 Fall Apple Desserts, 10 Fall Sweet Potato Recipes, 10 Cauliflower Recipes, and this week, we’re featuring a gluten free veggie burger recipe theme!
And until recently I had never even tried a veggie burger before. But now I am obsessed. They are just so good. There are so many different possibilities, combinations, flavors, textures, you name it.
Some are soft, gooey and even a bit mushy, others are hard, firm and hearty. There’s a veggie burger out there for everyone.
I myself have shared a few gluten free veggie burgers on this blog: Vegan Sweet Potato Tofu Burgers, Vegan Sweet Potato Squash Burgers, Vegan Cauliflower, Chickpea Quinoa Burgers, Vegan Pumpkin White Bean and and Quinoa Veggie Burgers, and my all time favorite Vegan Zucchini Chickpea Burgers.
Enough about me. Today the spotlight is on these ten fellow food bloggers with an incredible vegan and gluten free veggie burger recipe!

? The MUSHROOM AND WILD RICE BLACK BEAN BURGERS {GLUTEN-FREE, VEGAN}
But they call for breading and eggs. Confused.
Vicky says
Sorry about that – must have somehow missed that when putting together the recipe. Will add a note that the breadcrumbs can be gluten-free and that chia or flax eggs can be used instead. Thanks for catching that!
Christine says
A very simple one we tried yesterday: Cover a portobello mushroom with a mixture from olive oil, salt and pepper and roast it in the oven. It’s your burger! Combine with bread, greens, ketchup, onion or whatever you prefere.
Vicky says
Sounds brilliant!

I just wonder if any of these freeze particularly well. There are only two of us in the household and only one vegan and gluten free so I’d like to make one or two of the recipes and freeze them for future meals.
Thanks

I find that veggie burgers do normally freeze well and can then be baked in the oven or pan fried!

Hi, Thank you for the varied burger recipes. Regarding the Curried Carrot Chickpea Chia Burger; I do not have an all purpose gluten free flour. Could I use tapioca or almond flour instead?
Thank you, Jayne
Vicky says
I think you could add a mix of both. Let me know how the burgers come out!
