We’re switching things up a bit here. Instead of the usual Friday Foodie Faves where I share my 10 favorite recipe finds from fellow food bloggers, now I’m switched over to themed posts.
With the beginning of fall now is the time to get into fall themed recipes. The past couple weeks I shared, 10 Gluten-Free Vegan Kale Recipes, 10 Gluten Free Pumpkin Desserts, 10 Fall Apple Desserts, 10 Fall Sweet Potato Recipes, 10 Cauliflower Recipes, 10 Parnsip Recipes, 10 Fall Pumpkin Breakfast recipes, and this week it’s all about Halloween!
Happy Halloween to everyone! I first celebrated Halloween when I moved to the US at the age of 9 so as you can imagine by that age I couldn’t have been more than thrilled to find out that American children got to run around in costume one day a year and collect as much candy and treats as possible. Quite simply the best day out of the year for a child. Or for a sweet treat loving adult who still dresses up in costume.
I haven’t been trick or treating in a few years – I actually did go with my cousin and friend senior year of college, mostly just for fun, but actually got quite a kick out of the whole experience and it reminded of the joy of celebrating Halloween as a child. So today I’m sharing some Halloween themed recipes from fellow food bloggers around the web.
How are you celebrating? Dressing up? Simply handing out candy?

Even the pets should be able to celebrate Halloween with a holiday themed treat and these bone shape treats are perfect.
Creepy Spider Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
I absolutely adore the look of these tiny chocolate spiders on these cookies. Seriously hoping my art skills will allow my cookies to look just like these!
Meringue Bones Over a Puddle of Blood {Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free}
Meringue in the shape of bones? Brillinat. And a raspberry sauce to resemble blood? Even better. A well thought out Halloween themed dessert.
Halloween Blood Soup {Gluten-Free, Vegan}
Nothing to get people more in the Halloween spirit that a pool of blood red soup made with beets, tomatoes and veggie stock.
Halloween Oreo {Gluten-Free, Vegan}
Orange and Black Halloween themed oreos that are both vegan and gluten-free. Love the pumpkin cream filling instead of standard oreo cream.
Halloween Dessert Ghosts {Gluten-Free}
A hot cocoa cake made like a fudge brownie topped with ganache and a marshmallow cream made in the shape of mini ghosts. Happy Halloween!
Raw Vegan Butterfinger Candy Bar {Gluten-Free, Vegan}
Butterfingers were my all time favorite Halloween trick or treating candy to find in my bag and I always ate them first. Good to know there is no need for the overly processed original candy bar when you can make your own butterfingers at home both vegan and gluten-free. Now I just need to know where I can buy some dried white mulberries!
Vegan Halloween Carrot Cakes with Witchy Green Avocado Buttercream {Vegan}
I love the idea of a vegan carrot cake on its own but when topped with a green avocado frosting and a dark chocolate witches hat then I’m definitely down for a few of these mini cakes. Don’t you just love those edible witch hats?!
Raisin and Peanut Power Bar Pumpkins {Gluten-Free, Vegan}
Only threee ingredients needed for these adorable looking pumpkin shaped treats! I seriously need to learn how to make my food in the shape of a mini pumpkin! Adorable : )

Thank you so much for the linkup! You really need to try my Butterfingers! I actually find mulberries at my local grocery store and at Whole Foods. They are pretty common these days. Or you can always order them online!
Thanks again! Let me know if you try them. Everything looks delish!
